A MAN (Madrid Application Number) is only allocated where the application has been filed via the ALS. This number identifies and allows the storage of the international application within IP Australia's database. The applications are accessed by staff of the International Registration Section of the Customer Engagement Group (CEG). ALS application forms are saved to the IP Australia workfile , and once certified, the application is uploaded to WIPO via the Madrid Office Portal.
