IPA design registration-publication-requests — IP Australia Designs Examiners' Manual – 11.5. Excluded designs: Registration/publication requests

An application for design(s) excluded from an initial application filed before 10 March 2022 , must include a request for registration or publication for all of the designs in the new application. The prescribed period for requesting registration (i.e. 6 months from the priority date of the design (reg 4.01 )) does not apply to excluded designs. For design applications filed on or after 10 March 2022 , requests for registration are taken to have been made where the design application is in respect of designs excluded from an initial application.
