The history of the Australian Designs Office Examiners’ Manual is as follows:
Date Event
1992 The first edition of an examiner’s manual appeared in early 1992, with several chapters being added over the following 12 months.
2001 A revised manual was issued.
July 2007 A completely new manual was written for the Designs Act 2003, and released in draft form.
March 2010 The current manual released.
June 2021 Manual reviewed and re-written. Beta-version initially released internally.
September 2021 Full release of updated manual.
